The Elder Services Program is currently an 11 person interdisciplinary community mental health team which provides direct treatment, education, residential care, health promotion, health prevention, rehabilitation and advocacy for seniors with mental disorders or behavioral symptoms that compromise their overall health status with that of their care givers. Phone(250) 868-7707 This organization is run by volunteer counsellors appointed by the Minister Responsible for Seniors to assist seniors with problems and concerns. Counsellors are seniors themselves and are concerned, caring and interested in their fellow seniors. They are knowledgeable about services and resources and are able to put people in touch with other agencies that offer services that offer and support.
